Camera: Phone, Action Camera (Go Pro, DJI): 20 USD Professional Camera: 20 USD The combination of Cenote Angelita and Cenote Carwash is specially designed for intermediate and advanced divers seeking a unique and contrasting cenote experience. The first dive takes place in Cenote Angelita, one of the most surreal dive sites in the Riviera Maya. This deep cenote reaches depths of over 30 meters (100 feet) and is famous for its hydrogen sulfide cloud, which forms a dense "underwater river" effect at depth. As you descend, you'll pass through crystal-clear freshwater until reaching this cloud layer, where fallen trees and branches create the illusion of a mystical forest beneath the surface. This dive requires solid buoyancy control and comfort with deeper profiles, making it ideal for more experienced divers. The second dive takes place in Cenote Carwash (Aktun Ha), offering a completely different and vibrant atmosphere. This shallower cenote, with depths of approximately 10–15 meters (33–50 feet), is full of life and color. Sunlight penetrates easily, illuminating aquatic plants, lily pads, and creating beautiful visual contrasts. Divers may encounter small fish, turtles, and seasonal algae blooms that enhance the natural character of the site. Together, this combination offers a perfect balance: the depth and mystery of Angelita paired with the light-filled, living ecosystem of Carwash.
